Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited (TAMIN) – a Government of Tamil Nadu Undertaking was started in 1978 to manage the exploration, mining, processing and marketing of the minerals base in the State.

- With a clear mandate to extract high-quality stones with a special focus on granite blocks, TAMIN Quarries have been in operation for the past 45 years now, thus making a significant contribution towards granite production and export.
- With 62 own granite quarries spread across the southern State of Tamil Nadu in India, TAMIN also owns a state of the art granite processing Unit.
- A State known for its legacy in Granite, TAMIN entered the Export Market in 1979 with dimensional blocks, slabs and other coloured granite forms. The impressive customer base in Europe, Middle East, Japan, and China parallelly, a sizeable market exists for various finished and semi-finished granite products like Dimensional, Calibrated Tiles, Random Building Slabs, Wall Panels, and Monuments in Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Holland, and USA, and Germany.

- TAMIN has got substantial quarrying rights of granite in Tamil Nadu.With a clear mandate to extract high-quality stones with a special focus on granite blocks, TAMIN Quarries have been operating for the past 45 Yrs. On Granite production & Export. TAMIN owns 67 largest and best granite quarries available in India spread across the southern State of Tamil Nadu, TAMIN also owns two state-of-the-art processing units in Madurai and Krishnagiri.
- TAMIN granite deposits are rich in black and colour varieties and are among the best in the world.
- TAMIN has entered in international granite market in the year 1979. It has three Granite processing units to support its granite processing activities. TAMIN has captive granite leases of various colors of granite numbering over 118, spread all over Tamil Nadu. TAMIN has earned a niche for itself in the world granite market.
- TAMIN’s pride and buyers choice are Black, Colombo Jubrana, Paradiso, Ambai White, Redwave and River white dimensional blocks, is unique in colour and pattern is exported in large quantity to Italian and German Markets.
- TAMIN has set up a 100% export oriented granite slab processing unit in Melur, Madurai District during 2013, having installed capacity 1,80,0000 Sq. Mtr/ Annum with wider product mix and having different finishes like sawn, polished slabs, leather finished slabs etc.
- TAMIN’s 100% export oriented Tiles Plant, located inKrishnagiri, having installed capacity of 37,500 sqlMtr. , exports its products to USA & Europe and Far East Countries.
